September 23: 13.5% Wine Bar

This Friday The HAPPY HOUR CREW is heading off to the Hampden neighborhood for wine and Italian fare at 13.5% Wine Bar. 13.5% is located on the recently revived Avenue in Hampden. While the Avenue was not always the best place to hang out,  in the past few years many new restaurants, clothing stores, yoga studios, art galleries, bars and even the best sex toy shop in Maryland, Sugar have sprouted up along 36th street next to mom & pop shops, family restaurants & antique stores.

This year, the Hampden Neighborhood had 17 merchants make the Baltimore Best list, 2011 Baltimore Best. Instead of the new cancelling out the old, the generations are working together to build a stronger community, thus introducing BNOTES, a form of local currency.

I am looking forward to the wide array of wines offered at 13.5%, especially the South African Wines. See below for the daily specials.
