RA was its typical, wonderful self with good music and a young atmosphere. Although, my favorite dish, the Viva Las Vegas Roll, had way too much cream cheese in it and the music was way way way to loud for my taste the night was still a great deal of fun.
Having a table of 11 in the middle of Ra Sushi on a Thursday night during happy hour is nothing short of a miracle. The restaurant was PACKED! but regardless of how busy they were we got prompt and friendly service with great drinks and only a couple of order mix-ups, which is bound to happen.
I don't recommend the seaweed salad it was flavorless and super overpriced! I do still recommend the VIVA LAS VEGAS Roll during happy hour when it is 50% off. The Viva can be very hit or miss depending on who is in the kitchen. If it's a hit than it is a BIG, BIG hit. I've had dreams and cravings about the Viva Las Vegas roll. (and I keep coming back for it EVERYTIME) When it's a miss it feels like a major let down. Like it's your birthday but no one remembers That's how I felt about the Viva last night, disappointed.
Ahh well... RA has happy hour Monday through Saturday 3 - 7p.m. and then special happy hour pricing from 8p.m. to close on Sundays. With 7 days of specials I will have to go back to get my perfect VIVA!!!
All in all, a great night and I am wishing PD a very, very happy birthday!!!
